What is the Golden Blades Hockey Club?
This Club offers a friendly recreational hockey playing experience in Waterloo Region & surrounding areas. We prioritize a balance of recreation and friendly competition for adults in the area. Focusing on the camaraderie of the game while celebrating our local hockey community since 2002!
New players are always welcome! Often people ask, “Is there an age limit? ” The answer is no! Club members are 55 and over. If you enjoy playing hockey, then you are not too old!

Arenas That We Play At
When prospective members consider joining the Golden Blades Hockey Club one of the most important things to consider is; Where do the hockey games take place? Members are not required to attend every game. Our club is flexible and meant to fit into players’ schedules as they see fit. Whether you live in Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Brant, or Ayr, our club gathers and plays at an arena near you!

Who Organizes The Games?
Our club leaders are responsible for coordinating ice times. When a new game is scheduled, organizers will put the details into the online schedule, and all club members will receive an email notification. Members are not required to attend every game. Signing up for a game is optional, but if you do sign up to play, please show up!
We understand that unforeseen circumstances do happen. When you know that you will not be able to attend a game, please contact the Team Organizer of the game you cannot attend. They should be able to coordinate an alternate player for you. If you know early, then you can cancel on the website associated with the game you are playing. This is important to stay on top of as there are usually players on a waiting list.
